About Jonáš Gürtler

Jonáš Gürtler specialises in sports, media and entertainment law and telecoms, privacy and data protection. He frequently represents parties before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and handles disciplinary, integrity and employment matters before sports association tribunals. Additionally, Jonáš provides advice to national and international sports associations. He serves as an ad hoc clerk in disciplinary proceedings for the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and is a board member of the Swiss Association for Sports Law (ASDS). Recent work includes successful representations in disciplinary and doping-related matters before CAS and sports governing bodies, including a prominent and complex employment-related dispute before CAS relating to the transfer of a promising football player.
