is a partner in the corporate/M&A team whose practice focuses on M&A, equity capital markets, private equity, public takeovers and defences, general corporate law and corporate governance. He is an authorised issuers’ representative at the SIX Swiss Exchange and is experienced in a broad range of transactions, including trade sales, tender offers, IPOs, rights offerings and financings. Claude has published various commentaries on the Swiss statute on jurisdiction (cancellation of securities), on the Swiss Code of Obligations (capital increase), on Swiss merger law (conversion of companies) and on the Ordinance against excessive compensation. He holds degrees from Harvard Law School and the University of Zürich, and in 1997-98 he was a member of the M&A team of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York.
