About James Dawson

James Dawson is a senior partner in Addleshaw Goddard’s corporate finance team, with 30 years’ experience in advising on technology deals. He spent 18 months working for a digital start-up before returning to the firm in 2018. James’ recent technology deals include the acquisition of Plessey Semiconductors; a joint venture between NatWest and Vodeno for the establishment of a banking as a service (BaaS) platform; the sale of The Observer to Tortoise Media (a digital platform); and the acquisition of RoosterMoney (a tech-enabled payment card solution). He acquired his taste for technology deals in the late 1990s/early 2000s whilst undertaking dotcom deals for Tiscali.
