About André Figueiredo

André Figueiredo is a partner practising in capital markets, corporate and structured finance and regulatory advice, regularly acting for issuers/borrowers, sponsors, banks and investors. He has been closely following the transformation of the Portuguese banking sector, acting for investors on resolution matters and representing investors and issuers in large non-performing loan deconsolidation transactions. André also leads PLMJ’s impact investment practice. He obtained an LLM in Corporate Law from NYU School of Law and a PhD in Securities Law from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He teaches securities and financial law, has authored several articles and books in securities and finance law, and regularly speaks at industry and academic conferences.
