About Charles Buytaert

Charles Buytaert is a counsel at Janson. He has over ten years of experience in all aspects of domestic and cross-border commercial dispute resolution (including arbitration) and contract negotiations (including M&A transactions) for Belgian as well as foreign clients across a broad spectrum of industries. He has extensive expertise in litigation, including regarding international sales agreements, shareholder disputes, post-M&A disputes, termination of distributorships, director’s liability, consultancy agreements, management agreements and non-compete clauses. Charles is also active in Janson’s Africa practice. Prior to joining Janson, Charles developed his practice with boutique Belgian law firms, as well as US law firms Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and Jones Day. Charles is trilingual and practises in Dutch, French and English.
