About Dorien Taeymans

Dorien Taeymans is a senior associate in the IT/IP/data protection department at Liedekerke. Dorien’s practice is focused on data protection (in particular, conducting data audits, GDPR compliance strategies, personal data breach management, whistleblowing), IT matters (eg, IT contracts, internet/social media presence, e-commerce, domain names, peer-to-peer platforms), intellectual property and unfair market practices (in particular, those related to advertising, marketing and the organisation of contests). She works for both domestic and international clients across a wide variety of sectors, including start-ups, SMEs, large multinationals and non-government organisations in the automotive, logistics, energy, hospitality and (FMCG) retail sectors, among others. Dorien is the secretary of the editorial committee of Tijdschrift Computerrecht, a legal journal covering legal and IT matters in Belgium and the Netherlands (such as ICT, data, privacy, cybersecurity, AI).
