About Johanna Lilja
Johanna Lilja
is specialised in intellectual property (IP), with a focus on patent litigation. She has first and second chair trial experience of IP litigation before the Market Court and the Finnish Supreme Court, involving questions on infringement, equivalence, invalidation, burden of proof, infringing acts, availability of preliminary injunctions and damages. Johanna has represented clients in various fields of industry, including pharmaceuticals, telecommunications (eg, SEP litigations with FRAND defence), engineering, energy and shipping. Johanna is a UPC representative, and also has experience in technology-related arbitration proceedings (ICC, FAI). Johanna is described as “fantastic”, “extremely approachable” and as having “an excellent knowledge base on all IP-related topics” (Chambers 2024). She is President of the Finnish AIPPI Group.
