About Mikael Segercrantz

Mikael Segercrantz focuses his practice on intellectual property (IP), regulatory matters, and marketing and consumer law, including litigation. He has extensive experience in IP litigation before Finnish courts, the Unified Patent Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union, both as first and second chair. The proceedings have related to patents, trade marks, copyright, design and other IP rights, and involved questions such as preliminary injunctions, infringing acts and invalidity claims. Mikael is described as “brilliant, strategic and very responsible, while also being excellent with clients”, and as “able to explain complicated legal scenarios” (Chambers, 2024). Mikael is the President of the Finnish Association for Industrial Property Rights (STY).
