About Louise Swart

Louise Swart is a senior manager contracted to PwC South Africa’s tax controversy and dispute resolution practice, bringing extensive senior-level expertise in tax litigation and dispute strategy. Louise has been practicing for twenty years, spending seven years at SARS where she served as in-house counsel specialising in Tax Court litigation. She led high-value and complex corporate income tax appeals, frequently appearing in court on behalf of the Commissioner. Louise has worked closely with National Treasury, SARS audit, debt management, and policy teams, including projects within the Illicit Economy Unit. She is an admitted attorney and a member of the Legal Practitioners Council.
