About Gillian Crandles

Gillian Crandles is Turcan Connell’s managing partner and head of family law. She is accredited as a specialist in family law by the Law Society of Scotland and is the only family lawyer in Scotland that Chambers UK recognises as an “eminent practitioner”. She is dual qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and is often instructed in cross-border cases. Gillian is an interdisciplinary collaborative practitioner, having been involved in the introduction of collaborative law to Scotland, and is trained as a mediator and family law arbitrator. Gillian has been selected to participate in the “Portraits of Women in Law 2025” exhibition, which amplifies advances in the legal profession.
