About Nikolai Brøvig

Nikolai Brøvig is a senior lawyer, and for the last 12 years has worked extensively on regulatory issues relating to oil and gas, assisting both public and private clients. From his work for the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy his experience includes drafting and applying the Norwegian regulatory regime on the upstream petroleum sector in Norway, with a regulatory focus on resource management, HSE. At SVW he advises Norwegian and foreign clients on Norwegian Continental Shelf petroleum regulatory and contractual issues. He has been extensively involved in the development and implementation of petroleum legal frameworks and capacity-building in foreign jurisdictions, including the drafting of model HGAs and other contracts such as production-sharing agreements, joint operating agreements (JOAs), accounting agreements, etc.
