About Anshuman Sakle

Anshuman Sakle is a partner in Khaitan & Co’s Mumbai office, with substantial experience in competition law, particularly merger control, abuse of dominance and cartel enforcement. In 2025, he led more than 17 merger filings before the CCI, including Torrent Pharmaceuticals’ USD3.08 billion acquisition of JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, a landmark pharmaceutical transaction involving novel behavioural remedies. Anshuman advised on Omnicom’s USD13 billion acquisition of IPG, American Axle’s USD1.44 billion acquisition of Dowlais and Wilmar International’s acquisition of AWL Agri Business, and regularly advises BMW, Honda, Denso and the Mahindra Group. He is a member of the Competition Law Bar Association (India), the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
