About Michaël Maters

Michaël Maters is an Amsterdam-based attorney at law and a partner in the investment management practice group at Loyens & Loeff. Michaël focuses on investment management, Dutch partnerships, corporate fund structures and AIFMD-related matters, specialising, in particular, in the civil, corporate and regulatory aspects of (international) fund formation. He acts on behalf of managers in the formation of their alternative investment funds as well as on behalf of (institutional) investors, assisting them with their investments in such alternative investment funds. Additionally, Michaël publishes on the various civil, corporate and regulatory aspects of fund formation (such as asset segregation and management participation structures). In 2017 he was seconded to the firm’s Zürich office.
