About R. Michael Murphy

R. Michael Murphy is a shareholder in Dentons’ Birmingham office whose work covers corporate and securities law, in particular M&A, financial services, private equity and venture capital, regulatory, compliance and risk management, and securities. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association and a speaker on matters relating to M&A. Representative matters include serving as outside counsel to national insurance, banking and financial services businesses; as buyer’s counsel in connection with the acquisition of more than 50 financial service firms by a national financial product distribution firm; and as counsel to both issuers and investors in connection with investments in start-up companies.
