About Kelly C. Smith

Kelly C. Smith is a partner in Allen Matkins’ Orange County office and a commercial litigator and construction lawyer. She represents developers, owners and lenders in complex construction disputes involving design and construction defects, project delays, and mechanics’ lien claims across infrastructure, commercial, hospitality, mixed use and residential projects. Kelly also provides strategic counselling on construction contract structuring, risk mitigation and project close out. In addition, she maintains an active commercial litigation practice, representing clients in high-stakes real estate, business and employment disputes. A former federal judicial clerk and prosecutor, Kelly brings significant courtroom experience and trial-tested advocacy to her practice.
