About James Beers, Jr.

James Beers, Jr. is a partner in Troutman Pepper Locke’s environmental practice. He represents clients on all aspects of environmental law and related disputes, from rule-makings and compliance counselling to government investigations, incident response, risk management, enforcement actions and high-stakes environmental litigation. James draws on more than a decade of experience as an environmental prosecutor at the US Department of Justice to provide strategic advice to clients facing complex environmental matters. During his career, he has addressed air, water, waste and contaminated site issues arising in a wide variety of industries, including the energy, mining and chemical industries, among others.
