About Vaughn Burkholder

Vaughn Burkholder has been successfully solving his clients’ employment liability issues for more than three decades. As Employment Law and Litigation team leader for the firm’s Kansas City office, Vaughn has the skill set needed to effectively address and provide solutions to workplace issues of all kinds. Vaughn’s client-focused approach results in practical problem-solving honed by years of experience, whether offering best practices to prevent a legal dispute, responding to an EEOC charge, or defending an employment rights lawsuit. In his active litigation practice, Vaughn represents clients before administrative agencies and civil courts throughout the region, focused in Kansas and Missouri. He is a member of the American Bar Association and has served as director of the state chapter of the Association of Defense Counsel. Vaughn has authored dozens of articles on employment law, been featured and quoted in local and national media on employment law issues, and is also a much sought-after speaker at legal seminars and conferences. The cases he has litigated include ADA, ADEA, breach of employment contract, FMLA, non-compete, restrictive covenants, retaliation, Title VII (sex, race, color, national origin, religion), wrongful termination, and whistleblower claims.
