About Marianna Knister Downer

Marianna Knister Downer of Gordon Arata is a civil litigator and trial attorney representing clients in a range of industries, including construction, energy and environmental, and administrative law. Her practice extends to complex litigation, appeals, civil procedure, commercial litigation, and risk management. Marianna was recognised by the Louisiana State Bar Association as a 2024 Young Lawyers Division Top 40 Young Lawyers Honoree and a 2024 Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Star. Prior to obtaining her law degree, Marianna spent four years in Washington, DC working both on and off Capitol Hill with former senator Mary L Landrieu.
