She has six years’ experience as in-house counsel in top Romanian banking institutions and 12 years' experience as a lawyer, with excellent knowledge of the Romanian and European financial instruments and capital markets regulations. Cristina has advised IFIs, commercial banks and multinationals on a wide range of financing transactions, transactions in financial instruments and on various regulatory and compliance issues. She is the correspondent for Romania of the ISDA and was mandated to act on behalf of it for supporting the local derivatives market and netting legislation, including in relation to the drafting of the new Romanian Insolvency Code, the Government Ordinance on financial collateral arrangements and the law transposing the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive. A member of the ISDA and the International Bar Association, she has a Master's degree in European economics and finance from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies.
