About Lauren Bachtel

Lauren Bachtel is a former US Department of the Interior and American Wind Energy Association lawyer who now leads Linklaters’ US environmental, social and governance (ESG) team. She assists clients in navigating complex environmental permitting, compliance and regulatory issues across all types of projects and transactions, spanning project development, financings, and mergers and acquisitions. Lauren closely tracks proposed and final environmental regulatory changes and advises clients on current and forthcoming requirements and risks. She has significant experience assisting clients to comply with existing and incoming US federal and state ESG laws, policies, programmes and initiatives.
