He advises on transactions and financing, primarily in connection with renewable energy projects, and on investments in technologies for the avoidance or reduction of CO2 emissions. His practice includes ongoing consultancy services for the relevant investment schemes. Regarding renewable energy projects, Carsten has substantial experience in advising in cross-border projects in transactions across Europe and worldwide. Recently, he advised in renewable transactions and in particular transactions based on corporate power purchase agreements in Northern and Western Europe and Australia. Carsten studied law in Hamburg and has worked as an attorney since 1996.
