Lodewijk van Setten
is senior counsel in the global regulatory and risk advisory group. He is based in the BVI office and brings more than 20 years' experience in financial services regulatory and risk management matters, having worked in Europe and Asia before moving offshore. Lodewijk has in-depth understanding of all categories of investment and trading products, and typical matters concern strategic and risk-based advice in connection with the structuring of new or developing business models and transactions, impact assessments, gap analyses, licence applications, authorisations, registrations and notifications. He teaches and publishes regularly on financial services matters, and is a member of BVI Finance's Digital Asset Working Group, an industry-led initiative.
