is a partner at the firm and head of the Digital Finance team. She assists a large number of international companies in their FinTech, Insurtech and Regtech-related projects, such as alternative lending (peer-to-peer lending and crowdfunding), innovative payments, virtual currencies, ICOs, blockchain applications, and AI projects on the Belgian market. Catherine is a founding and board member of FinTech Belgium, the first and largest community of Fintechers in Belgium, and regularly speaks at conferences on digital finance topics. More generally, she has broad expertise in banking law, finance law and insurance law, advising banks, investment firms, payment service providers, insurance companies and a wide range of financial institutions – both domestic and foreign – on all issues related to the legal and regulatory aspects of their activities, including financing, regulated credits, M&A and security packages. Furthermore, Catherine handles litigation in relation to banking and financial law.
