About Thomas Derval

Thomas Derval is a finance and insurance counsel (regulatory and litigation). He advises and represents both companies and regulated institutions in a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters (eg, MiFID II, IDD, AML and GDPR), as well as in relation to financial, insurance and credit product regulations (eg, PRIIPs). In this context, he regularly assists fintech and insurtech companies in developing and adapting their products to the legal requirements of their target markets. Thomas is also an assistant lecturer at the Free University of Brussels (ULB), where he has been giving seminars in the law of contracts and torts since 2014.
