Annick is a reputed Belgian expert in intellectual property law and is regularly invited to speak before international audiences, including on the legal challenges of marketing. Annick is a member of the Belgian Council for Intellectual Property. Between July 2010 and June 2012, she was President of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA).
