About Sandra Lodewijckx

Sandra Lodewijckx is Lydian's managing partner, having become the firm's first female managing partner in January 2026, and a partner in the Commercial and Dispute Resolution practice, where she heads the insurance and reinsurance team. Her practice covers insurance and liability law, distribution law, claims handling and regulatory and compliance matters, advising Belgian and international insurers, financial groups and intermediaries on strategically important projects. Before joining private practice she spent six years at an insurance company, giving her practice a practical, industry-informed perspective. She holds a degree from Munich Re in Technical Risks and lectures on insurance law at the University of Antwerp.
