About Tine Meurs

Tine Meurs is of counsel in Lydian’s Commercial and Dispute Resolution practice and a member of the insurance team. She is a member of the Brussels bar and advises Belgian and international insurers and intermediaries on insurance law, with a focus on coinsurance, layering structures, the Insurance Distribution Directive, coverage disputes and policy reviews. Tine holds a PhD in Law from KU Leuven, where her research examined coinsurance. She combines practice with academic teaching and research at KU Leuven, where she is a substitute professor. Tine is an expert member of the Belgian Insurance Commission and vice-chair of the Belgian section of AIDA. She publishes and lectures on Belgian and EU insurance law.
