Danielle Francesca T C San Pedro
is a member of the IBP and IPA and a senior associate in the IP department, with a background in fashion design, which prompted her to practise IP law. Ms San Pedro’s practice is comprised largely of trade mark prosecution, including outbound trade mark registrations via national filings, as well as domain name and Trademark Clearinghouse registrations, IP rights commercialisation and regulatory advice. Her practice has expanded into non-traditional and multidisciplinary matters involving IP copyright and broadcast rights vis-à-vis new forms of media, and e-commerce promotion and advertisement of medical devices. She is currently involved in vindicating the trade mark rights of several foreign brand owners against bad faith registrations with the Intellectual Property Office. She has also previously advised clients seeking to bring into the country a recording device for digital broadcasts, with respect to the device’s implications on Philippine copyright and related broadcasting laws.
