Ma. Sophia Editha C. Cruz-Abrenica
is a junior partner at V&A Law and has more than 11 years of experience in IP prosecution. She is a registered Patent Agent, having passed the Patent Agent Qualifying Examinations administered by the IPOPHL and is a member of the Patent Committee of the APAA and the Pharmaceutical Committee of the AIPPI. She holds a master’s degree in molecular biology and has solid scientific research experience as a result of her research studies in Belgium and Japan for six years. Attorney Cruz-Abrenica handles the bulk of V&A Law’s patent applications and invalidation cases, with a current focus on helping generic pharmaceutical companies bring affordable products into the country.
