Eduardo Silva Romero
is co-head of Dechert’s International Arbitration Department. His practice focus on commercial and investment arbitration, particularly disputes involving States and State entities. He is the co-chair of the IBA Arbitration Committee and the former Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the ICC Court of Arbitration. In addition to his practice as counsel, Mr Silva Romero has acted as arbitrator in over 100 investment and commercial cases under a wide variety of institutional rules. Mr Silva Romero teaches Investment Arbitration and International Contracts at the Paris Institute for Political Studies (Sciences Po), Arbitration at the University of Paris-Dauphine (Paris IX), and is a Professor of International Law at the University of Rosario’s Law School in Bogotá. He regularly publishes on arbitration matters.
