James spent 15 years at the FTC before transitioning to private practice where he focuses on advising clients on mergers and acquisitions covering a wide range of industries, including consumer and food products, retail, energy, healthcare, travel, technology, and chemical and industrial production. He has obtained clearances for clients in high-profile strategic merger investigations, served as a Divestiture Trustee for the DOJ, and successfully represented both the FTC and private parties in several precedent setting merger trials. James received the FTC’s Paul Rand Dixon award and the Distinguished Service, Superior Service and Meritorious Service awards.
