About Matt Schwartz

Matt Schwartz is US chair and global co-chair of DLA Piper’s finance practice and co-head of the firm’s US finance group. He has spent more than two decades representing banks and private credit funds in structuring and negotiating debt, equity and hybrid investments across a wide range of transactions. Matt is co-founder of the Legal Mentor Network, a non-profit dedicated to mentoring young lawyers and law students, particularly those from underrepresented communities. He is also a founding board member of the Randy Jones Foundation and serves in leadership and advisory roles with several nonprofit and community organisations.
