Marc Nichols
is chair of DLA Piper’s US transportation practice, which he joined after serving as Chief Counsel of the FAA under President Biden, where he was the chief legal officer and third-ranked official, overseeing all aspects of the FAA’s critical rulemakings, legal policy and operations. Previously, Marc served as executive VP, general counsel and corporate secretary of Saab’s North American division and, earlier, as a senior executive with Rolls-Royce, leading legal initiatives in defence aerospace and government investigations in North America. Marc is a fellow of the UK’s Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS) and regularly speaks and writes on aerospace legal matters for universities, media organisations, industry groups and aerospace companies.
