About Matthew Brehaut

Matthew Brehaut is a partner in the corporate team in Carey Olsen’s London office, having joined the firm in 2016. He trained at Clifford Chance in London and New York. Matt advises on corporate and investment funds matters, with particular experience in the structuring and launch of investment funds. He provides funds, fund service providers and fund promoters with advice on all aspects of the establishment, regulation and operation of investment funds. Matt has previously advised on deal-by-deal investment platforms utilising the blockchain and currently advises on fund tokenisation platforms in Guernsey. In 2023, he led the industry response to the proposed virtual asset legislation now in force in Guernsey.
