Désirée Heintz is a patent attorney and partner at Eisenführ Speiser, and a member of the patent litigation group. She has extensive experience in evaluating standard-essential patents, especially in the field of mobile communications (4G, 5G, etc), wireless technologies (DVB-T2, IEEE 802.11ax, etc), video coding (H.265/HEVC, H.266/VVC, VP9 and AV1) and audio coding (AAC, etc). These technical fields – along with the field of medical technology – also constitute the focus of her litigation work, which includes the representation of, in particular, international corporations and patent pools in proceedings concerning infringement and nullity before the German courts, including the Federal Patent Court and the Federal Court of Justice, as well as the UPC.
