About Jim Shimberg

Jim Shimberg leads Shubin Law Group's Tampa office. With four decades of experience, he provides expertise in local regulatory environments – specifically real estate development, land use and zoning – to public and private sector clients. Jim served as executive vice president and general counsel for the developer behind Water Street Tampa, the largest transformational project in Tampa’s history, and for the parent company of the National Hockey League’s 2020 and 2021 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning. Jim also served as head of the national land use group and office executive partner for Holland & Knight and as the City of Tampa City Attorney, where he gained unparalleled knowledge of real estate development and land use regulatory processes.
