About Christopher Young

Christopher Young is head of MinterEllisonRuddWatts’ IP team, and an international lead partner. He specialises in IP, licensing, franchising, brand strategy, trade marks, commercial IP, marketing, sponsorship, privacy, IP disputes, enforcement and IP audits, with leading expertise in handling the IP aspects of M&A and other corporate transactions as well as IP commercialisation, franchising and licensing. He is currently co-chair of INTA’s Licensing and Franchising committee. Chris is a widely recognised IP expert with an extensive international practice and network, known for his technical expertise and pragmatic advice. He has more than 20 years’ experience in IP, strategy, franchising, licensing and commercialisation of IP.
