About Shailaja Lall

Shailaja Lall is an equity partner and heads the insurance and reinsurance practice at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. Shailaja has worked extensively in the field of insurance law for more than 22 years, advising insurers, reinsurers, insurance intermediaries and financial services entities on transactional and regulatory matters, including share and business acquisitions, joint ventures, distribution agreements, bancassurance arrangements and group reorganisations. Shailaja is a member of Confederation of Indian Industry’s National Committee on Insurance and Pensions. She was also the vice-chair of the Lex Mundi insurance and reinsurance practice group (2012‒16) and a member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s insurance and pensions committee (2014‒15).
