About Milton Silverman

Milton Silverman was a commercial litigation and dispute resolution partner at Streathers Solicitors LLP between 1984 and 2024, and is now a consultant to the firm. For the past 25 years, he has had considerable involvement in the art and cultural property sector, advising internationally on all aspects of the business, and lecturing on trade interests in the UK (including Sotheby’s Institute) and abroad. He is a member of the Institute of Art & Law, Professional Advisors to the International Art Market (PAIAM) and the Art Lawyers Association (ALA), and is a regular contributor to domestic and international publications. The art law department which he heads has grown to attain a strong reputation and a wealth of client recommendations over 25 years.
