About Carole Schmidt

Carole Schmidt is a counsel and the Knowledge Lawyer (KL) in A&O Shearman’s financial services regulatory practice. Among other things, she co-ordinates the firm’s know-how management in relation to regulatory matters, including payment services, fintech and crypto-asset services, investment/broker-dealer services, prudential and governance issues and AML/KYC topics. Carole is a member of several working groups within the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL). She is also an active member of A&O Shearman’s fintech task force, supporting a wide range of clients, from established financial institutions to start-ups developing innovative solutions.
