is a principal at Baker McKenzie and chair of the global tax dispute resolution practice group, who specialises in corporate income tax, transfer pricing, international tax planning, tax litigation, corporate reorganisations, tax rulings, tax treaties, personal income tax and estate planning. He is a member of the tax committees of the Mexican Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the International Fiscal Association (IFA); and a founding member of ATRIL. Mr Narváez-Hasfura has a Juris Doctor degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho, Mexico City; Diplomas in taxes and tax law from ITAM; and an LLM degree from the University of Notre Dame; having also studied international taxation at IBFD and the comparative tax policy and administration program at Harvard University. He was presidentially appointed as independent adviser and member of the Mexican Taxpayers' Ombudsman Board. Mr Narváez-Hasfura, who is a former chair of the Latin America tax practice group and member of the global tax steering committee, was voted leading Mexican tax practitioner by the International Tax Review and other relevant sources.
