He specialises in legal tax consulting in matters related to direct and indirect taxes applicable to cross-border transactions, tax rulings, tax treaties, corporate restructurings, estate planning and wealth management. Mr Ordoñez-Namihira is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the IFA and the tax committee of the Mexican Bar Association. He has a Juris Doctor degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City; studied a postgraduate programme on taxes at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM); and has an LLM degree in taxation from Georgetown University. Mr Ordoñez-Namihira is a regular speaker/participant in domestic and international STEP conferences, and the Baker McKenzie annual Tax & Trust Conferences in North America and the EU.
