About Brent Springael

Brent Springael is head of Bird & Bird’s tax group in Brussels, and advises on the full spectrum of business tax matters, with a focus on IP-related tax in life sciences, media and tech. His international experience includes secondments in Luxembourg and New York, covering private equity and finance structuring. He also advises non-profits on direct and indirect taxation. Brent regularly publishes on topics such as patent box regimes, royalty taxation and non-profit tax rules, and speaks at conferences and in the IP Masters Programme at the University of Brussels. He is an active member of AmCham Belgium, IFA, LESI and the FAIB.
