About Julien Colson

Julien Colson is a senior associate in the tax department of Bird & Bird’s Brussels office, advising Belgian and international clients on corporate tax matters, particularly transactions and restructurings. He has developed strong expertise in the accounting and tax treatment of such operations, and assists clients during audits and tax disputes. Before joining Bird & Bird, Julien spent four years at Big Four firms advising on corporate tax issues, including R&D incentives, withholding tax exemptions and tax consolidation. He also supported due diligences and tax ruling requests. Previously, he worked for six years at a Belgian law firm, focusing on tax advisory and litigation.
