About Charles Tanenbaum

Charles Tanenbaum is a partner in Clifford Chance’s Funds & Investment Management practice in New York. Charles advises on the formation of private funds across multiple strategies, including private equity buyout funds, credit funds and real estate funds, as well as co-investment vehicles, funds-of-one, single asset vehicles and other alternative investment vehicle structures. He guides private funds and their sponsors through a wide range of operational and commercial issues, regulatory and compliance matters, service provider agreements, limited partner transfers and other ongoing management matters. He also advises clients on complex management company “upper tier” arrangements and investment management M&A transactions, including the sale of minority stakes.
