About Gerard McElwee

Gerard McElwee is a partner in the EU Regulatory group in Fieldfisher’s Brussels office. His practice focuses on EU product regulatory matters involving everything from chemicals (REACH, biocides, pesticides, and CLP) through to consumer products such as detergents, cosmetics, and toys, and more circular economy areas such as packaging, single-use plastics, WEEE/RoHS, waste, water management, green claims, ecocide, etc. This includes general compliance advice, strategic advice on anticipated legislative changes, and advice on product liability and product recall issues. Gerard also advises on contentious matters and has represented many clients before the European Courts, European agencies, and national courts.
