About Dámaris Engelschman

Dámaris Engelschman is a Dutch law associate in the finance team at the Freshfields Amsterdam office. She combines experience in structured finance with banking and finance experience, and is therefore able to serve clients on complex finance matters that share both features. As a Dutch lawyer working in an international team, she is able to advise both Dutch and international clients in national as well as international cross-border contexts. These include transactions in jurisdictions such as the UK, Luxembourg, Germany and the US. Dámaris combines a pragmatic attitude with sound analytical skills to complement clients’ own legal and commercial teams who benefit from her experience as a secondee on the legal team at a Dutch mortgage provider where she worked on funding solutions from an in-house perspective.
