About Luisa Tortolano Barreto

Luisa Tortolano Barreto is a senior associate in the energy practice at Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown in Brazil. She focuses her practice on the power sector, including drafting and negotiating contracts related to project implementation (eg, EPC/EPCM, owner’s engineering, operation and maintenance, and equipment supply), power purchase agreements and advice on regulatory issues, as well as co-ordination of projects within the power sector, especially M&A and due diligence. After completing her bachelor’s degree at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, Luisa obtained a License em Droit from Université Lumière Lyon 2 and a master’s degree in commercial law at the University of São Paulo.
