is a partner at the firm. He is in charge of Ince’s insurance/reinsurance operation in Asia, including China and Japan. Kelvin’s caseload encompasses marine and non-marine insurance, contentious and regulatory, direct business and reinsurance. He specialises in policy liability disputes with specific focus on product liability insurance, marine cargo and marine hull policies, yacht insurance, equipment installation all risks cover, bankers' blanket bonds and property/BI risks. His recent experience includes denial of a number of claims under a product liability policy/advertising injury cover on the back of US class actions. On the reinsurance side, Kelvin advised major reinsurers on not only facultative but also reinsurance disputes including claims under various excess-of-loss treaties arising from the Tianjin explosion in August 2015. His defence work has been on the rise in recent years, handling a wide variety of cases ranging from product liability defence, professional negligence to marine liability. His professional memberships include the Law Society of England & Wales, the Law Society of Hong Kong and the Appeals Tribunal of Hong Kong Federation of Insurers.
