About Leonardo Lamego

Leonardo Lamego is partner and head of Azevedo Sette Advogados’ Environmental and Mining practices. He has over 20 years’ experience in complex transactions involving environmental and mining matters, such as environmental permits, legal auditing, compliance, due diligence and litigation in environmental matters, defence of clients’ interests in civil investigation and negotiations with public prosecutor’s office. He holds a Master of Laws in International Environmental Law, an LLB, and was admitted to practice in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 2002. Leonardo also has specialisations in Mining Law, Civil Law and Procedural Law. He is a member of the Environmental Committee of Brazilian Bar Association and founding member of UBAA (Brazilian Union of Environmental Lawyers).
